What athletic directors ask first.
Who pays — do families really never pay a fee?
Correct. Your school pays one flat $299 a year and that covers every player and coach. Families pay nothing — there are no per-athlete charges and no surprise checkout fees. (Leagues that collect registration fees are a different OtterSoccer product; Schools is a flat school-paid subscription.)
Can I import my existing roster and schedule?
Yes. You can paste your players in from a spreadsheet during setup instead of typing them one by one, and build your schedule right in the app. Most athletic directors get a season stood up in an afternoon.
Can I start mid-season?
Yes. Create your teams, set rosters, and publish whatever's left of your season. Nothing assumes you're starting in week one.
What happens after the 14-day free trial?
If you don't subscribe, your account simply goes read-only — your data stays put, nothing is deleted, and you can subscribe later to pick up where you left off. There's no auto-renewal either: each OtterSoccer Year is a deliberate choice, not a recurring charge you have to remember to cancel.
Is the Clearances board a background-check or compliance system?
No — and we're careful not to imply otherwise. The Clearances board is an honest tracking tool: you define what each athlete needs (physical, consent form, emergency contact), mark who's turned it in, and see cleared-vs-missing at a glance with one-tap family reminders. It does not verify, run, or guarantee background checks or eligibility — your school's existing process still owns that.
How many teams and divisions can I run?
Up to 6 teams across 2 divisions — boys and girls, varsity and JV — with unlimited players and coaches. One unified schedule and standings across all of them.
Is there an app — do parents have to install something?
There's an OtterSoccer mobile app on iOS today, with Android coming soon. But parents don't need any app: they follow the schedule, rosters, and updates by web link, email, and calendar subscribe — no install and no account they don't want.
